Information for Choir
1. Mozart,WA (1756 – 1791) Mass in C minor KV 427 ed Richard Maunder
Vocal Score: If you do not yet have a vocal score, please purchase the one edited by Richard Maunder. This is available from Oxford University Press or Carus-Verlag.
Note: For people with other editions of this work, the Sanctus and Osanna do not match the Maunder edition. We plan to have copies of these movements available at Seillans and/or on the website.
(The old Breitkopf and Haertel edition by Schmitt is not adequate.)
2. Poulenc (1899 – 1963) Gloria
Vocal Score: Salabert
3. Lauridsen (1943 – ) Madrigali – a capella (SSAATTBB)
Vocal Score: Faber
4. Allegri (1582 – 1652) Miserere – a capella (SSATB with solo SSAB)
Vocal Score: edition to be confirmed
There is a copy in Sacred European Music (OUP) and several CPDL versions. Most seem to be adequate to learn from, but bar numbering is not consistent across them all; and some stave layouts are clearer than others. It is likely that one of the CPDL editions will be recommended
5. Barber (1910 – ) Adagio for Strings, Op 11, arranged by Daryl Runswick for a capella wordless choir (SSAATTBB)
Vocal Score: we have the electronic copy of this arrangement. We hope to be able to have this available on the website in due course.
6. Mozart (1756 – 1791) Laudate Dominum (SATB plus solo soprano)
Vocal Score: Breitkopf Edition 5738 (with pf reduction); CPDL 00735.
Re-visit this list for any additions.
