Academy
The collaboration with the Nice Conservatoire last year was so successful, that all the students wish to return with their professor Alain Babouchian. His collegue Guillermo Lefever who teaches the cello in Nice will bring some his students to join the Academy. Each student plays next to a professional player, therefore giving them a wonderful opportunity to make music at a high level with different musicians.
The Academy Concert on 7th August 2011 includes Vaughan Williams ‘Fantasia on a theme of Thomas Tallis’, Vivaldi concerto for 4 violins and ‘Hail the Bright Seraphim’ for soprano and strings by Handel, Villa Loboz ‘Bacchanalia Brasileiras No 5’ with 8 cellos and soprano, and a concerto for panpipe by Stamitz, played by Michel Tirabosco.
