After another fabulous year of exciting music in France & Britain in 2018…. here is news of the programme for

the 15th annual international summer festival in the Var, France, will feature 18 exciting & diverse high-calibre concerts,

9 – 17 August 2019, including Handel’s SAUL, a major choral work

 as well as jazz, solo, orchestral & chamber music, song & opera & the Summer String Academy in Provence,

(sung with orchestra & soloists) & a cappella works by J S Bach & Schütz, directed by Graham Ross in the beautiful acoustic churches and chapels of the “villes perchées”‘ of the

 Orchestra Academy

2018 saw another group of talented young players join renowned players Levon Chilingirian (violin), Susie Mésàzaros (viola) & Jane Hyland (cello) with piano accompanist Philip Saudek at our Summer String Academy for Strings in Provence – with the chance to perform solo and ensemble pieces and to play alongside professional players in an orchestral concert. (The 2019 Academy is fully subscribed including several free places on our international bursaries).

Musique-Cordiale weekend in Kent
15-17 November 2019

The 2019 Autumn Musique-Cordiale weekend in Kent, GB, featuring a reprise of Handel’s SAUL and other music over 3 days (following the success of Handel’s Messiah & Robert Schumann’s Dicherliebe in November 2018) will be announced soon.

Festival curtain-raiser- Gala Dinner & Soirée musicale

Tickets sold out quickly last year for our popular annual fund-raising evening and Festival launch event – with wine, dinner and music at the lovely Moulin de Camandoule, between Seillans and Fayence. So please book early to join us on Monday 5 August 2019 if you can!

In 2019, we again invite YOUNG SINGERS (aged 6 -14): to join our FREE courses culminating again in a Final concert on the eve of the Festival. Enrolment is NOW OPEN to a new group of young singers to participate in this exciting initiative in 2019.
