Charlotte King

Mezzo Soprano

Charlotte King read Music at Goldsmiths College and the Guildhall School of Music & Drama. Operatic roles include Siegrune in Die Walküre at the St. Endellion Festival, Sesto in La Clemenza di Tito for Riverside Opera, Aunt Jane in Hugh the Drover for Hampstead Garden Opera, cover Old Crone and Mrs. Chin in A Night at the Chinese Opera and cover Pompea in The Little Green Swallow for British Youth Opera.

In 2012 and 2013, Charlotte sang as a member of the chorus for Grange Park Opera and in 2014 performed as a member of the chorus and covered several roles for Garsington Opera in The Cunning Little Vixen and Fidelio. In 2016, Charlotte sang the role of Popova in The Bear with Operaview and the title role of Carmen with Commedia Opera and, most recently, sang with Opera Holland Park in the chorus for La Rondine and Don Giovanni.

Away from the concert platform, Charlotte has a busy teaching schedule in schools around Kent and London, and since her debut at Musique Cordiale in 2015, has continued and developed her classical cabaret recitals in the UK.
