Tristan Hambleton

Baritone

Born in London, Tristan Hambleton studied at St John’s College, Cambridge, Heidelberg Universität and then at the Royal Academy of Music, London.

Tristan has performed with The Hallé, The London Mozart Players, The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, The English Chamber Orchestra, The Hanover Band, Le Banquet Céleste and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. He has worked for Glyndebourne Opera, Nevill Holt Opera, Welsh National Opera, Opera National Bordeaux and The Royal Opera House Covent Garden.

After graduating from the RAM Opera School in 2015, Tristan made his debut creating the role of Karl in the world premiere of David Bruce’s Nothing at Glyndebourne. Appearances include Marullo in Rigoletto and Angelotti in Tosca. Tristan’s concert repertoire includes Mozart’s Requiem, Beethoven’s Mass in C and Symphony No. 9, Brahms’ Ein Deutsches Requiem or Purcell’s The Fairy Queen.

On the operatic stage Tristan’s repertoire includes the title role in Le Nozze di Figaro, the title role in Don Giovanni or Guglielmo in Così fan tutte. Highlights this season include Messiahs with Marc Minkowski in France, Purcell Odes with Damien Guillon in Rennes, touring with the Hanover Band, a return to Welsh National Opera and Lessons in Love and Violence at The Royal Opera House Covent Garden.
