The opening evening on 30 July is special and vital for us...
- because it allows us the opportunity to welcome old friends and supporters...
- but also because, in addition to delicious wine, music and food, it’s our only opportunity to attract some essential funds, without which the festival cannot happen. We have so many costs throughout the year when we have no opportunity to sell tickets. And last year, maybe because people no longer carry cash so much, we had a much-reduced income from donations at our free concerts.
- So...unlike other evening concerts, the purpose is BOTH to entertain with beautiful music AND to raise vital funds to support the huge year-round expense of organising and running the festival - and keeping it going! Here is your chance to feel good! A fun and lively musical party among friends who support the idea of memorable music in a magical ambience!
WE DESPERATELY NEED YOUR HELP THIS YEAR! So, uniquely for this event, prices are uniquely elevated for the occasion - with minimum and suggested prices. After your first (several) glasses which are included (like our usual vin rosé freely provided at other concert intervals), there will be a special choice of wines are for sale). There will also be a tombola. It will be a delightful and varied evening of excellent music, wine and food and we hope those who love the festival will join us to support it to the full.
On prior reservation only please - no reductions for children or over 80s (JUST for this event). NOTE: ticket price includes music, a welcoming glass of rosé and delicious buffet dinner with wine. Additional wine is available for purchase by the bottle. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
