To book to participate in the Musique-Cordiale festival choir (as a singer or as accompanying partner/friend) for the summer FESTIVAL CHOIR 2025, (choir arrives Sunday 3 August, departs Sunday 10 August 2025), please complete this online form as early as possible (or print it out and return it by mail). NOTE: these are not the full festival dates which begin - without choir - on 29 July 2025: if you would like to join us before the rest of the choir arrives - as audience or perhaps as a volunteer, please contact info@musique-cordiale.com

Arrival Sunday 3 August: if possible, please try to arrive in time to find your accommodation and to join other participants for 7PM dinner. Your first rehearsal will be on Monday morning, 4 August. Your final (choral) concert will be at 7PM Sat 9 August 2025, followed by dinner. You depart on Sunday 10 Aug. If you are arriving or departing without a car, please let us know (we will ask later) and we will arrange transport, usually from/to Nice airport or from Les Arcs-Draguignan train station.

Please book and pay a deposit NOW for any ACCOMMODATION that is organised by Musique Cordiale (please indicate below what you require - and ideally with whom if you know other singers and want to be part of a group. We choice of available (limited) options. Affordable & appropriate accommodation is scarce near Seillans; so book early with us or, if you prefer or can, book independently ASAP. Why not talk to us if you need help or suggestions?.

Payment of deposits with bookings please or ASAP. Subsequent partial payments according to schedule (see early payment discounts) - or by arrangement on receipt of invoice. All participants are requested to become members (unless your subscription has already been paid for 2025 - e.g. usually after the last summer festival). THIS YEAR, we are requesting that all singing, accompanying or playing participants are members (at the full or young-person/student rates) please. If you join/rejoin now, this will cover your participation for any events thru 2025

We would most appreciative if you decide to UPGRADE YOUR MEMBERSHIP to become an individual or Joint FRIEND OF THE FESTIVAL rather than just a basic member. All the benefits of being a Friend can be found by visiting our website. Musique Cordiale needs and values its FRIENDS & SUPPORTERS who enable us to afford to run the events in France and Britain each year. You are VITAL to our stress-free organisation and success!

Choir Participation *

We invite current and recent members of the MC Festival choir and other good singers to join the choir for these 6 days of rehearsals and concerts. We aim to manage this on a self-financing basis in 2025 including some public funds. We will provide the essentials (e.g. programme, accompanists, conductor, soloists, equipment, water, venues - incl. bad-weather alternatives, orchestral players etc. + website).

The participation fee for singing is therefore to cover these items (please ask if you would like to see our budget and accounts).

We have set the standard fee at £420.

Full-time STUDENTS aged 26 or less are invited to sing for a special fee of £25 - and we are seeking a limited amount of student accommodation for you too and for a few students in the Academy, part-sponsored by The Musique-Cordiale Trust.

This year, CHOIR PARTICIPATION FEES INCLUDE non-premium ENTRY TO lunchtime and evening OTHER CONCERTS during the week, starting on Sunday 3 August. Non-singing accompanying participants need to buy concert tickets or a season pass (Box Office opens jat Easter (20 April 2025)

EVENING MEALS

Meal-deals (6 of 7 evenings)

There will be a single multi-course meal with wine or beer each day (with one evening off). For other meals during the day, we invite you to self-cater other (mainly breakfast and lunch-time) meals or to explore the range of local restaurants and food outlets.

(We will ask you later re any special dietary requests or requirements). (Note: concerts and dinners will revert to earlier times as in past festivals, usually 7PM for indoor concerts usually followed by dinners at 9PM)

Page 4: ACCOMMODATION (Note: indicative prices - for guidance only - are NOT the same as the initial deposit requested)*

We are asking you for an initial deposit of £300 per person (£500 for single-person accommodation, which is VERY hard to find) for all participants seeking accommodation through Musique-Cordiale. Actual final prices payable will probably be more and we will invoice you for the total when you have agreed to what may be on offer - with the actual price. Accommodation is the MOST difficult part of organising the festival. We would love it if there was a supply of similar hotel or dormitory rooms on offer locally that you could easily book for yourselves. But there isn’t, especially in the popular summer holiday season! We encourage you to try finding accommodation independently and sharing it with friends or forming a group, including B&Bs and campsites. However, there are few standard hotel rooms locally. So, unlike in Kent, Musique-Cordiale has again booked some lovely houses in and near Seillans - with pools and patios and room for several people sharing in each case. These feature individual double rooms (including double or king-size beds and a few twins)for our choir and players. We are selling these on to you FOR ONLY A LITTLE MORE THAN OUR COST - TO COVER OUR TIME AND EXPENSES. But we are also happy to help or try to coordinate. Please indicate whether you expect to need accommodation (with suggested level). CLICK ON A CHOICE and PRICES & DETAILS will appear - see OUR ACCOMMODATION CATEGORIES below. We will also try to link anyone who would like to be in touch with others seeking shared independent accommodation. We cannot guarantee you exactly what you are asking for and the best accommodation that we have booked will go quickly. SO PLEASE HURRY! Other items can be paid later (e.g. normally by Easter – 20 April 2025 – or pay any balance by the final payment deadline of 31 May 2025 or per invoice). We can finalize arrangements and the schedule after you’ve chosen your accommodations. Then we’ll share pictures and locations to match your preferences. You can cancel but there are some limits listed in the enrolment form. PRICES ARE FOR THE ‘CHOIR WEEK': Let us know below if you want to arrive earlier (e.g. for the start of the full festival).

Having a room on your own for a single person is unfortunately usually up to double the price of shared room, viz eventual total cost probably £900 + to £1200 + per person (Euro equivalent currently 1015€ +). Finding a companion to share a room with can save you money though rooms with multiple single beds are also rare!
