Oliver enjoys a diverse career as a chamber and orchestral musician, performing on both modern and period instruments. Since 2017, he has played second violin in the Ruisi String Quartet, who perform across the UK and Europe. The quartet have recently released their debut album including works by Haydn, Matthew Locke, and Oliver Leith. Oliver also performs regularly with the group 12 Ensemble, performing works from the core strong orchestra repertoire, as well as many new works. On historical instruments, he performs regularly with the group La Serenissima, with whom he has also appeared as a soloist, as well as The English Concert and Academy of Ancient Music.

Oliver was a student at Yehudi Menuhin School, before attending Guildhall School of Music & Drama for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies, where he developed an interest in historical performance and baroque music.
